Area 1 Security, Inc. was an American cybersecurity company based in Redwood City, California which was acquired by Cloudflare in April 2022.

Channel description

Despite the billions of dollars spent today on cybersecurity, damages from phishing attacks - the root cause of 95 percent of breaches - continue to mount.

Area 1 stops phishing. How? By eclipsing traditional, reactive cybersecurity (which frequently gets breached), and crawling the entire Web to identify and block phishing attacks before they can do harm. Area 1 prevents phishing attacks on average 24 days before they launch. This preemptive strategy represents a fundamentally new way of approaching anti-phishing protection.

Area 1’s first-of-its-kind business model also flips traditional cybersecurity on its head. Unlike other cybersecurity solutions, our “Pay-per-Phish” model means that customers pay ONLY for the phish we catch, that their other defenses miss.
