Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA) is a non-profit sportsmen's organization that is based in Montana, USA. The group looks to preserve North America's outdoor heritage of hunting and fishing through public education and advocacy. Backcountry Hunters & Anglers works to prevent the development of wild land in North America and follows the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation as a basis for its positions.

We were founded around a campfire in Oregon, we’re headquartered in Missoula, Montana, and we have chapters all over North America. Our members love the peace, challenge, solitude, tradition and freedom that only backcountry lands and waters can provide.
Backcountry Hunters & Anglers members share a common bond: a passion for the forests, mountains, prairies and waters that support our chosen way of life. We come from across North America. Some of us are urban, others rural, But we all know that our freedom to hunt and fish depends on healthy habitat and abundant public access opportunities.
