Biography
Bad Dreems were an Australian rock band from Adelaide, South Australia. The band was co-founded in 2011 by lead vocalist Ben Marwe, lead guitarist Alex Cameron, bassist James Bartold and drummer Miles Wilson. Rhythm guitarist Ali Wells joined the band in 2017, having toured with the band since 2014, while Bartold departed the band in 2022 and was replaced by Deon Slaviero. The band first formed in 2011, releasing their debut EP in 2013. They released five studio albums to date, with all of them reaching the top 40 on the ARIA charts. The group performed alongside the likes of Midnight Oil, DMA's, the Scientists and the Chats, and have toured internationally on numerous occasions.

Taking inspiration from the isolation they felt growing up in the suburbs of Adelaide, Bad//Dreems songwriting aims to strip away the veneer of comfortable Australian suburban life to reveal the bizarre, the dark, the twisted and the beauty that lies beneath.
With authenticity at its heart and a desire to challenge the status quo, Bad//Dreems’ whip smart observations are layered with themes of class, masculinity, mental health and the contradictions of modern Australian life. That tension between toughness and tenderness is what makes Bad//Dreems stand out.
As guitarist/songwriter Alex Cameron says “We wanted to show that it was ok to like football and poetry.”; a legacy which has given permission for a new wave of Australian rock to be both literate and loud, introspective yet raw and rough, paving the way for acts like Amyl and The Sniffers, The Chats and Pist Idiots.
