This is the official CHANNEL of The Laboratory of Biomaterials & Encapsulation (BEL). The lab is part of the Dept. of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at the University of Ferrara. It focuses on the development of biomaterials and delivery systems for drugs, biological response modifiers, biotech products and cosmetics. The group carries out a number of third part activities, including: innovative formulations based on liposomes, microspheres, microcapsules, lipospheres emulsions and microemulsions. We design and produce advanced cosmetic formulations.
We offer experties for tissue engineering and cell encapsulation protocol. We performe biocompatibility tests for the validation of biomaterials. The rapid prototyping section focuses on the design and development of small laboratory equipments for biotech applications and microencapsulation protocols.
