Jean Reinhardt, known by his Romani nickname Django, was a Belgian-born Romani jazz guitarist and composer who lived most of his life in France. He was one of the first major jazz talents to emerge in Europe and has been hailed as one of its most significant exponents.

During his childhood among the Gypsies , Django Reinhardt traveled widely before settling in Paris with his parents. He taught himself the rudiments of music and occurs very early in the balls , playing banjo and guitar . But at the age of 18, his trailer ignites and Reinhardt was severely burned on his left hand . Refusing to give up music, he invented a new way to play .
In 1934, he established the String Quintet of the Hot Club of France together with Stéphane Grappelli . Loan originality , the group comes off the black American style and recorded many songs ( Minor Swing , 1937 or Cloud, 1940). Great improviser, Django Reinhardt largely distinguished in the world of jazz as one of the greatest musicians of his time.
