#ImagingtheWorld (ITW) is a woman-led organization on a mission to bring AI-enabled #portable ultrasound to 15 million people in under-resourced areas of sub-saharan Africa by 2030. We are working to reduce maternal mortality rates, bring care closer to home, and expand services to other diseases and conditions.
ITW brings a unique solution to equip healthcare facilities with ultrasound technology, IT infrastructure and trained staff; a model that can be dramatically scaled in alignment with primary healthcare and making Universal Health Coverage affordable and accessible.
We have published our Obstetric Sweeps Protocol (OSP), which captures the anatomy of a pregnancy during an obstetric ultrasound scan. Most people can learn to scan with excellent diagnostic results in a couple of hours.
ITW runs the Consortium for Health (CHI) in Kampala - leading provider of ultrasound imaging equipment and professional training services in East Africa, operating in a sustainable manner.
