Jannis Mallouchos was born 1980 in Athens. Studied composition and music theory with Gerd Kühr and Georg Friedrich Haas at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Graz (2001-2004, BA), and then at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with Detlev Müller-Siemens (2004-2009, MA, PG). Member of the composers union "die andere Saite" located in Graz. Taken part in composition master-classes by K. Stockhausen, M. Spahlinger, W. Rihm a.o. Written chamber, orchestral, vocal and electronic works and also music for theatre plays, films and video-art works. Compositions have been performed in Austria, Greece, Germany, Slovenia and Czech Republic.
