Larian Studios is a Belgian independent video game developer and publisher founded in 1996 by Swen Vincke. Headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, Larian focuses on developing role-playing video games but has previously worked on educational games and casino games. It is best known for developing the Divinity series and Baldur's Gate 3.

In 1996, in a small office in Gent, Belgium, Larian Studios was born. Since then, it's been our passion to create world class video games that defy expectations. Today Larian is home to the critically acclaimed Divinity series, featuring our first crowdfunded success Divinity: Original Sin - winner of over 150 awards and nominations - and its sequel Divinity: Original Sin 2, which boasts a 93 Metacritic rating and over 160 awards (including Bafta for Best Multiplayer Game). Thanks to the success of these games, our family has grown to over 400 people around the world, working in our Gent, Quebec, Dublin, Kuala Lumpur, Guildford and Barcelona studios.
