Lil Lacy is a DK/US composer and musician. She refined her curiosity of composition and improvisation in creative collaborations of a long series of artistic projects and is a recipient of the Léonie Sonning Talent prize 2020.
Lacy composed, arranged and recorded music for different concerts and performances, a.o., the chamber opera One world above, another below, 45’ (2019), the site-specific choir concert; Concert for a Space and Time, 59' (2019), the dance performance For Ever Four Seasons, 70' (2019) and the piece for accordion soloist and symphony orcehstra Aliento del mar, 9' (2021).
Lacy is part of several bands in the Danish avantgarde scene as a vocalist and experimental cellist. She performed and had her music performed in Europe, America, Australia and Japan, and released several critically acclaimed and award-winning albums with different ensembles.
Graduated Advanced post graduated diploma in music in classical composition in 2020 at The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus.
