Llangennech Cricket Club was founded in 1881 and over the last 86 years, the Recreation Ground in the village has been our home ground. The Park is situated on the banks of the Loughor estuary; it has a pavilion, a cricket “square” with eleven wickets and a two bay outdoor practice net area.
We have three senior sides playing on Saturdays. The First and Second XIs play in the South Wales Cricket Association and the Third XI compete in the West Wales Cricket Association. On Wednesday evenings we take part in the All Wales Sport Midweek League and Cup Competitions. We have junior teams ranging between 7 and 16, some of which play in the South Wales Junior Cricket League. The Women's XI will continue to play in the South West Premier League.
