The Marist Poll, founded in 1978, is a national public opinion poll operated by the Marist Institute for Public Opinion (MIPO) on the campus of Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York. The poll was one of the first college-based public opinion polls in the United States. MIPO regularly measures public opinion, both in New York State and across the country. In 2020, polls were conducted in Arizona, Florida, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. The Marist Poll has an 'A' rating from ABC News' FiveThirtyEight and is often cited by journalists and pundits around the world.

The Marist Institute for Public Opinion, home of the Marist Poll, is a survey research center at Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York. We measure public opinion at the local, state, and national level. Founded in 1978, the Institute was the first college-based research center to include undergraduates in conducting survey research. Academics remain a primary mission of the Marist Poll and roughly 300 students each semester work on our team.
The Marist Poll regularly works with media partners to conduct scientific public opinion polls on issues and elections. Partners have included NPR, PBS News, NBC News, The Wall Street Journal, Telemundo, and Yahoo News.
