She began as an actress, however, Maya achieved fame when she entered the Arabic music industry with her debut single "Khallini Bel Jaw". Since then she has released four studio albums, cooperating with the most important Arabic composers like Samir Sfeir, Ziad Boutrous, Marwan Khoury, Walid Saed, and Tareq Abou-Jaoude. Maya is also an important Lebanese actress and well-known in Egypt. She put her music career on hold to film movies and TV series because she considers acting her primary career, but she made a comeback with her latest album "Jayi elWa't" afterwards.
