Michael H. Steinhardt is an American billionaire hedge fund manager, philanthropist, and former antiquities collector. In 1967, he founded a hedge fund, Steinhardt Partners which he ran until he closed it in 1995. After a hiatus from work, he returned to head WisdomTree Investments in 2004. In January 2014 he was on the cover of Forbes Magazine, referred to as "Wall Street's greatest trader." Forbes reported his net worth at $1.1 billion as of October 2018.

He founded the hedge fund Steinhardt, Fine, Berkowitz & Co., which operated from 1967 through 1995. Steinhardt is a prominent Jewish philanthropist and a strong supporter of Israel. In 2001, he published his autobiography, No Bull: My Life In and Out of Markets. Steinhardt is an art collector; he estimates he has spent $200 million on works by Jackson Pollock, Picasso, Paul Cezanne, Paul Klee, Max Beckman and Jean Dubuffet for his personal collection. He also owns a renowned collection of Greek and Roman antiquities and an invaluable collection of ancient Judaica.
