Matthew Alan Beat, better known online as Mr. Beat, is an American internet personality, educator, and author. Originally a social studies teacher in Kansas, Beat began publishing music videos and live performances of his band Electric Needle Room on YouTube in 2006. He moved to the Mr. Beat account in 2009, and began uploading two years later.
