Biography
Oasis are an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. The group initially consisted of Liam Gallagher, "Bonehead" (guitar), Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan and Tony McCarroll (drums). Liam asked his older brother Noel Gallagher to join as a fifth member a few months later to finalise their formation. Noel became the de facto leader of the group and took over the songwriting duties for the band's first four albums. They are regarded as the most globally successful group of the Britpop era and one of the most influential rock bands of all time.

Oasis were a rock band consisting of Liam Gallagher, Paul “Guigsy” Mcguigan, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Tony McCarroll and Noel Gallagher. Formed in Manchester, their first live performance was in 1991. They were signed by Creation Records soon thereafter in 1993. They also signed a worldwide contract with Sony to allow them to release music in America. Their first top ten hit on the UK charts was their third single, “Live Forever”. They’re debut album, Definitely Maybe, was released in late 1994 and debuted at number one. In 1995, McCarrol was replaced on drums by Alan White. Mcguigan briefly left Oasis in 1995 but returned during their subsequent tour. Their second album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, was the source of two massive hit singles. “Wonderwall and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” hit the top two spots on the UK chart. Their first large-scale headlining concert consisted of a performances at Maine Road Football Ground and later at Knebworth in 1996. Both of these shows sold out.
