The Oregon Symphony is an American symphony orchestra based in Portland, Oregon, United States. Founded as the "Portland Symphony Society" in 1896, it is the sixth oldest orchestra in the United States, and oldest in the Western United States. Its home venue is the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in downtown Portland's Cultural District.

The Oregon Symphony is Portland’s largest performing arts organization and the oldest American orchestra west of the Mississippi. Led by Music Director Carlos Kalmar, it performs with many of the world’s top musicians and offers the best of orchestral music – classical to pops to cutting-edge contemporary – to growing audiences in Portland and across Oregon.
From September through June, the orchestra performs about 100 concerts each season, mostly at downtown Portland’s historic Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, drawing an enthusiastic audience of more than 225,000 people annually.
