Phil Champagne is a Canadian technology writer specialising in bitcoin, best known for his book The Book of Satoshi: The Collected Writings of Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto (2014) about Satoshi Nakamoto. He is a graduate of the Université de Sherbrooke.

He has a background in computer software with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Sherbrooke, Canada. He is also a seasoned real estate and precious metal investor with more than 20 years of experience and is the managing director of Wren Investment Group, LLC.
He has long held bitcoin, as well as traded and learned about many different altcoins featuring a wide variety of technologies.
