Plymouth Housing Group’s mission is to eliminate homelessness and address its causes by preserving, developing, and operating safe, quality, supportive housing and by providing homeless adults with opportunities to stabilize and improve their lives.
For over 35 years, Plymouth has focused on serving those often considered the hardest to serve: men and women experiencing chronic homelessness. We believe that no one can effectively address the factors that led to their homelessness until they have a safe, permanent place to live. Our residents have become homeless due to the cumulative failures of many of our social systems, such as the mental health system and veterans’ social services, and thus are among the most marginalized and disadvantaged within our society. Resolving our area’s homelessness crisis involves more than simply providing housing to individuals who are homeless—it also means providing the support they need to stay housed and leave life on the streets behind for good.
