Samuel & Micaela are a folk duo from Aotearoa New Zealand. The duo formed in 2017, initially under the name ‘Lhasa’. They met at music school and soon started writing songs together. Drawing influence from their differing cultural backgrounds and experiences, their songs contemplate the meaning of life, relationship, and identity.
They have played shows across the North Island of Aotearoa, including a tour in support of their debut EP. Their striking harmonies and poetic songwriting provide an immersive, emotional experience to their audience.
Samuel & Micaela’s debut EP, Birdsong EP, was released in September 2019, and they are currently writing new music for their debut LP.
