The Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD) brings together world-class academics to put economics and related disciplines at the forefront of research and policy since 1978.
STICERD is based at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It was founded by the renowned Japanese economist Michio Morishima and directed since 2012 by Professor Oriana Bandiera.
We are both a thriving research community within the LSE and a source of funding for a variety of School-wide initiatives. We also organise a number of high-profile public lectures and free seminars in a variety of subjects such as Development and Growth, Public Economics, Theoretical Economics, Econometrics, Japanese Studies, Economics of Industry, Political Economy and Psychology and Economics.
