Biography
Superfly is a Japanese rock act that debuted on April 4, 2007. Formerly a duo, the act now consists solely of lyricist and vocalist Shiho Ochi with former guitarist Kōichi Tabo still credited as the group's composer and part-time lyricist. Superfly's first two studio albums were certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, and their first four consecutive albums all debuted at the top of the Oricon Weekly Album Charts, a first for a female recording artist in Japan in over seven years.

2008年には1stアルバム『Superfly』をリリースし、オリコンアルバムランキング1位を記録。
以降、2ndアルバム『Box Emotions』(2009年)、3rdアルバム『Mind Travel』(2011年)、4thアルバム『Force』(2012年)、さらに初のベストアルバム『Superfly BEST』（2013年）でオリコンアルバムランキング1位を獲得。
2015年、5thアルバム『WHITE』をリリースし、大晦日には代表曲の1曲である「Beautiful」で「NHK紅白歌合戦」初出場。
デビュー10周年を迎えた2017年4月4日、ファン投票によるベストアルバム『Superfly 10th Anniversary Greatest Hits “LOVE, PEACE & FIRE”』をリリースしオリコン1位を獲得。
2018年6月に23rdシングル『Bloom』、10月には第85回NHK全国学校音楽コンクール「Nコン」中学校の部 課題曲として書き下ろした24thシングル『Gifts』をリリース。
2019年11月NHK連続テレビ小説「スカーレット」の書き下ろし主題歌「フレア」をリリースし、大晦日には3年連続4度目の「NHK紅白歌合戦」に出場し、同曲を披露した。
2020年1月には前作から4年半ぶりとなるオリジナルアルバム『0』をリリース。ほぼすべての楽曲の作詞・作曲を越智志帆自らが手がけ、Superflyの新章を実感させる仕上がりの作品となった。
5月には、外出を制限された状況の中で様々な想いを抱きリモートで制作した楽曲「Together」をリリース。
7月からは日々のくらしで心に残ったことを独自の感性と言葉で綴ったエッセイ「ウタのタネ」を、新潮社運営「考える人」内で連載スタート。
大晦日には4年連続5度目の「NHK紅白歌合戦」に出場し、東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団との共演で「愛をこめて花束を」を歌唱。
シンガーソングライターとしてのオリジナリティ溢れる音楽性、圧倒的なボーカルとライブパフォーマンスには定評があり、デビュー15年目を迎えてもなお表現の幅を拡げ続けているアーティストである。
