Channel description
Terre des Hommes CORE Trust (Children’s Organization for Relief and Education) is a registered Indian Non-Governmental / Child Welfare Organization (NGO) working for children in distress, children in need of care and protection and the rehabilitation of disabled children.
Terre des Hommes CORE started on 18 April 1994, in a small rented building on the outskirts of Tiruvannamalai by Mr Chezhian Ramu, who took care of four begging and abandoned children in the street and became an alternative family for children with no families.
In 1996, thanks to Mr Carlo Crocco, Tdh CORE was finally able to flower and the total dedication to children became possible. Since then, thousands of children have now been saved from the worst situations.
Tdh CORE is working extensively in India and more specifically in the Southern state of Tamil Nadu, developing various child welfare programs. Tdh CORE focuses on child development through children rights, education, quality care, support and protection
