Vicious Pink is an English synth-pop duo formed in Leeds in 1981. They reformed for a new album in 2023 and will perform live again in 2024. With a catchy sound and a penchant for highly provocative and sexualized lyrics, the band's music was aimed toward clubs rather than commercial hits.

Vicious Pink, Brian Moss and Josephine Warden, are a techno/dance/electronica duo formed in Leeds, UK in 1981. Their first live appearance was as backing vocalists for Soft Cell. Later they performed on the band’s debut album, ‘Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret’. After becoming Soft Cell's support act, they later headlined at clubs including The Hacienda in Manchester and The Leeds Warehouse. Dave Ball produced their first two singles. Their singles include ‘My Private Tokyo’, ‘Cccan't You See’, ‘Fetish’, ‘Take Me Now’, and ‘8.15 To Nowhere’. One of the few bands in the early 80's that could be described as having a techno sound, and can be credited for coining the term, describing their music as ‘Techno’ in an interview with ‘Sounds’ in 1982. Other live shows include The Ritz NYC and Hammersmith Palais and Camden Palace in London. Their music has been used in films and TV shows. They recently released a new 2 LP vinyl album, ‘West View’ on Minimal Wave Records, links on our Channel.
