Editorial standards
Who gets listed on Alaxia, what we leave out, and our commitment to independence and neutrality.
A Who's Who is only as trustworthy as its criteria for who's in it. These are ours.
Who gets listed
A channel qualifies for Alaxia when it is notable — and we lean on an external, independent definition of notability rather than our own taste: a channel is listed when its creator or organization has an entry in Wikidata (and, usually, Wikipedia) and a public YouTube channel. That means inclusion reflects coverage and recognition that already exists in the public record, not an editorial favour.
We list people, creative groups and creator organizations across every country and all twenty categories, however small the country's scene.
What we leave out
- Platform and hub channels operated by YouTube itself (YouTube Movies, Music, the official YouTube channel, regional feeds and similar).
- Auto-generated "– Topic" channels, which YouTube creates automatically for music catalogues and are not creator-run.
- Terminated or deleted channels are removed from rankings; where a notable channel has gone, we may keep a retired record rather than a live profile.
These exclusions are applied by rule and re-evaluated continuously, not hand-picked.
Independence and neutrality
Alaxia is an independent directory. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. No one can pay to be listed, ranked higher, or removed. Rankings follow the public numbers wherever they lead.
We describe creators; we do not editorialise about their conduct, and a high ranking is a measure of audience, not an endorsement.
